HOME GR/OWN Milwaukee is a Catalytic Project of the City of Milwaukee’s ReFresh Milwaukee Sustainability Plan, promoting cross-cutting sustainability outcomes that mirror goals and targets throughout the City’s Sustainability Plan. The project encompasses multiple Sustainability Plan goals across several themes and will benefit from collaborative and strategic direction-setting and resource investment from the community. Tim is the project manager for Milwaukee’s HOME GR/OWN initiative. Tim comes to his work in community food systems through a non-traditional path. Trained as a zoologist & environmental/energy analyst, Tim spent over 2 decades managing natural gas purchasing and risk management for WE Energies prior to starting in the City’s Office of Environmental Sustainability in 2010.
