  • Parking: There is free two-hour street parking until 9pm in front of the building, or metered parking on 8th Street and 10th Street. Caution: they do ticket in the evening here. Alternatively, the parking structure across the street offers parking at $0.75/hour, unless there is a special event.

BIO: 

Fernando is an Emissions & Energy Manager within the Corporate Sustainability Team. In this role, he is responsible for tracking the greenhouse gas emissions, energy and water consumption, as well as waste generation that Johnson Controls has globally across its different divisions. He also supports the company’s external sustainability reporting to entities such as Global Reporting Initiative and Carbon Disclosure Project among others. Fernando has been part of Johnson Controls for eight years, and for the last six years has also participated as an active leader in the company’s Hispanic and LGBT employee resource groups.

Fernando is originally from Monterrey, Mexico and has a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Environmental Engineering from ITESM (Monterrey Tec); and a Masters in Environmental Management and Sustainability from IIT Stuart School of Business in Chicago, IL.
