For more than 150 years, the Pabst Brewery was a main focal point of downtown Milwaukee. The brewery closed its doors in 1996, and in 2006, the brewery complex was purchased by Joseph Zilber’s investment group to create The Brewery, a multi-use development. We will have a guided walking tour of the The Brewery development by members of the Zilber Group team who developed the project.  The Zilber Group went to great lengths to incorporate a wide range of sustainable strategies into the construction and development process, resulting in a LEED-ND Platinum certification, making it one of the greenest neighborhood developments in the US.  The tour will begin and end at the brand new Hotel/Restaurant “The Brewhouse Inn and Suites,” one of the most historic buildings of The “Brewery” development

TOUR LOCATION:  The Brewhouse Inn and Suites located at 1215 N 10th St, Milwaukee, WI 53205   NOTE THIS IS NOT PABST BEST PLACE

PARKING:  There is free one -hour street parking through 9pm in front the building on Juneau Avenue. Alternatively, the parking structure across the street offers parking at $0.75/hour.  There is also valet parking.

SPEAKER:  Dan McCarthy, Director of Urban Development of the Zilber Group ( ) and members of his team will be conducting a walking tour of The “Brewery,” one of only five platinum level LEED-ND (Neighborhood Development) in the world.
