LOCATION: Best Place at the Historic Pabst Brewery. 901 W Juneau, Milwaukee. map it This unique German-style beer hall is located in the Pabst Brewery re-development. The “Brewery” was recently awarded LEED-ND Platinum, making it one of the greenest neighborhood developments in the US. http://www.bestplacemilwaukee.com/
PARKING: There is two-hour free street parking until 9pm in front of the building, or metered parking on 8th Street and 10th Street. Caution: they do ticket in the evening here. Alternatively, the parking structure across the street offers parking at $0.75/hour.
Speaker: Jeremy Anderson, President of EASENET. EASENET is a local sustainable energy start-up company focused on combined heat & power and biomass-to-energy technologies. Jeremy, a former Navy Diver turned engineer and entrepeneur has been leading a team of researchers at MSOE to develop and manufacture a home-scale power system that can turn your waste into power, your home into a power plant, and your neighborhood into a micro-grid. EASENET aims to transition a fossil fuel dependent energy system to one that incubates sustainable communities and empowers individuals. With a protoype expected to be released this spring, EASENET is on the verge of creating a green energy breakthrough that could extend far beyond Milwaukee.
